I am currently advertising for a Postdoc for my Academy of Medical Science’s grant in Deep Learning for Enhanced Prediction of Neonatal Developmental Outcome from Multi-Modality MRI. The project seeks to develop novel Deep Learning methodologies for investigation into how heterogeneity in cortical organisation relates to behavioural and cognitive diversity. The project targets challenging questions relating to the impact of preterm birth on neurological development and builds on research that has been published in high impact journals including Nature and eLife.
And offer the following PhD projects:
- Engineering Big Data solutions to mining Imaging Genetics data through Deep Learning
- The aim of this project is to develop new methods for intelligent feature selection, that will allow advanced joint modelling of vast imaging and genomics data sets, for the purpose of determining new gene candidates for targeted neuroprotective therapy of vulnerable preterm infants
- Can deep learning algorithms automate the analysis of reach-and-grasp or walking by lab rodents when testing therapies for stroke?
- The PhD student will use machine learning (DeepLabCut) to automate the kinematic analysis of reach-and-grasp by mice after treatment using a novel therapy for brain injury (stroke). Note this scholarship is only open to graduate students who are citizens and permanent residents of the People’s Republic of China at the time of application.
